North Carolina Development Director
Position Overview:
For The Struggle, Inc. (FTS) is seeking an experienced, results-driven North Carolina Development Director to expand the organization’s funding partnerships, cultivate relationships with foundations and corporate partners, pursue government contracting opportunities, and strengthen FTS’s long-term development strategy.
This six-month contract position is ideal for a professional with demonstrated experience in nonprofit development, corporate and foundation relations, strategic partnerships, government relations, sponsorship development, and resource development. This contract can be extended beyond six months with an agreement in writing.
The North Carolina Development Director will work closely with FTS leadership, including the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and South Carolina Director of Development and Programming, to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities that support FTS programs and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated at least ten (10) years’ experience in nonprofit development, foundation and corporate relations, strategic partnerships, sponsorship development, government relations, and/or business development. Competitive candidates should possess strong relationship-building, communication, and networking skills and have experience identifying, cultivating, and engaging prospective funding partners.
Existing relationships with North Carolina foundations, corporations, philanthropic organizations, state agencies, or government representatives are highly desirable.
The successful candidate should be self-directed, results-oriented, comfortable working toward measurable performance benchmarks, and able to collaborate effectively with organizational leadership.
